Revision of unit standard 28517 - Recognise and report changes and risks for a person in a health or wellbeing setting
Published 21/02/23
Unit standard 28517, Recognise and report changes and risks for a person in a health or wellbeing setting, is proposed for revision in response to a coroners inquiry which recommended that people who provide support in a health or wellbeing setting should have knowledge of the risks of trapping, particularly in relation to the use of pressure-relieving mattresses.
- A definition for trapping was added to the guidance information.
- A performance criterion covering the risks associated with trapping was added to outcome 3.
